SCOUTING MINISTRIES SUNDAY
February 14, 2021
A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind,
Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
The United Methodist Church recognizes Scout Sunday on the second Sunday in February each year. LaGrange First Methodist has sponsored Boy Scout Troop 21 since 1927 — almost 100 years! With your assistance, Troop 21 has shared the goals of Scouting by reinforcing (and in some cases instilling) the values of a faith to God, citizenship, family and friends, character, and the love of our nation’s natural resources while developing mental and physical skills. Many of these goals are accomplished through a strong outdoor program that creates opportunities for the members of Troop 21 to participate in camping opportunities throughout the year.
Cub Scouts Pack 21 has been a part of LaGrange First Methodist since 1979. Our pack is composed of Lions (kindergarteners), Tigers (first graders), Wolves (second graders), Bears (third graders) and Webelos (fourth and fifth graders). Our pack participates in hikes, family campouts, Raingutter Regatta, Pinewood Derby, service projects as well as other activities throughout the year.
