FLOWERS FOR GREEN MEADOWS - MAY 6-7

A bunch of high school and middle school GVCO Caring Hands student volunteers spent numerous hours planting flowers, decorating pots and writing notes of encouragement this past weekend for residents at Green Meadows Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Paoli. Two beautiful days, so the kids worked outside at the future home of our new GVCO Community Center complex on Bacton Hill Rd. For years, GVCO Caring Hands delivers flowers in the spring to Green Meadows, in an effort to bring a smile, and encouragement to some who just may need something to "pick them up".

Several GVCO Caring Hands advisory board members helped coordinate the efforts this past weekend, while the student volunteers put in all of the much needed time and energy. A truckload of 150 flower pots were delivered on Monday to Green Meadows Activities Director, George Abakah-Williams. The overwhelming response from George and the staff, "This is such a tremendous service that the students are doing. This will bring a ton of smiles and happiness to all of the residents here."

Some outstanding service once again, right here in our community, by GVCO and the students and adults involved in our Caring Hands foundation.
