Dear Fourth and Fifth Grade Parents,
As we head into the last few days of summer, your children may be eagerly awaiting the assignment of their lockers for the year. The teachers and I want students to be able to personalize their lockers but also make the most of the space in an organized manner. Because of this, the fourth and fifth grade teachers will provide the students with time during the first few days of school to set up their lockers. The students are welcome to add small decorations such as photographs and magnetic white boards to their lockers during this time, but they will not be permitted to return to their lockers after dismissal to decorate. Students are discouraged from bringing large decorative items that would inhibit them from being able to utilize and shut their lockers easily.
The use of lockers is an important and exciting step toward the fourth and fifth graders’ independence, and we look forward to guiding your children in making the most of this privilege. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
Sincerely,
Stefanie Marsich
