Pre-fair discount tickets are available:
  • At Etix.com or 800-514-3849. Discount admission tickets are available through Aug. 24; choose the print-at-home/mobile option to save on convenience fees. (Please note that the print-at-home/mobile option is not available for ride & game tickets, and the deadline for ordering ride & game tickets to be mailed has passed.)
  • At the State Fair Ticket Office, located at the Loop Gate #9 off Como Avenue, through Aug. 24
  • In the Twin Cities, at the customer service centers of participating Cub locations through Aug. 24 (while supplies last)
  • Many locations in greater Minnesota and Hudson, Wis., through Aug. 24 (while supplies last)

(Note: Pre-fair discount admission tickets are valid for any age guest on any one day of the fair. They cannot be used to cover the cost of vehicle parking.)

Seniors Day, Monday, Aug. 29
  • Seniors (65+) are admitted for just $12 when purchasing admission at the gate.

Military Appreciation Day, Tuesday, Aug. 30
  • Active military and their families, as well as retired or veteran military and their spouses receive $12 admission by showing valid documentation of military service when purchasing admission at the gate.
  • Many vendors offer special bargains for all fair guests in celebration of our nation's heroes.
  • Early bird specials are offered until 1 p.m. on Mighty Midway and Kidway rides & games.
 
Kids Day, Wednesday, Aug. 31
  • Kids (5-12) are admitted for just $12 when purchasing admission at the gate.
  • All-day specials are offered on Mighty Midway and Kidway rides & games.

Save When Your First Fair Ride Is on the Bus!

These great options bring you directly from a free parking lot to the gate!

The State Fair offers free Park & Ride service from 29 locations near the fairgrounds. Park your car for free, hop on a free bus, and enjoy a ride to the gates of the Great Minnesota Get-Together. Park & Ride buses run regularly from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. (9 p.m. Labor Day).
 
Or consider taking a State Fair Express Bus for a small fee from free parking lots located a little farther from the fairgrounds in suburbs around the Twin Cities. Check out the links below for schedules, locations and how to buy ride tickets. Express Bus service providers:

Souvenir reusable drink bottles are available at concession stands throughout the fairgrounds. Buy one, then reuse it and save all day on refills at select vendors. Bottle and refill prices vary by location. At the end of the day, you'll have a piece of the fair to take home! Stop by an information booth when you arrive at the fair for a list of vendors that sell and refill this limited-edition souvenir bottle.
