To honor David Stevens, Director of Music for 32 years, upon his retirement, St. David’s commissioned a new anthem from composer Kinley Lange. Kinley, a longtime friend and colleague of David’s, wrote not only the music but also the text, ‘God bless those who bring us music’, for David and for the people of St. David’s. The piece was premiered, as a surprise for David, on August 7, by a 70-voice choir assembled for his retirement celebration.
