Face Mask 2
COVID-19 Health & Safety Reminders
As cases of COVID-19 continue to rise nationally and St. Serra recording its second confirmed positive case of COVID-19, we must remain diligent with our COVID health and safety protocols. Those include wearing masks while on school grounds. (Anytime that a face shield is worn, it must be with a face mask under the shield for all staff and students in all grades). It is important that we practice social distancing throughout our school and maintain good hygiene by washing your hands on a consistent basis. Finally, if you are feeling ill and displaying any COVID-19 related symptoms, please stay home and contact your family medical professional regarding the situation. We appreciate your continued support by helping us implement these practices which will help St. Serra stay open for in-person learning.
Student Symptom Tree
We've had many questions from parents about our health policies for the 2020-2021 school year. We have included the link to the Student Symptom Decision Tree provided to us by the OC Health Care Agency for your reference. Please use this guide to assist you when your child is ill.
Traffic Reminders
Here are some friendly reminders regarding morning drop-off:
  • If you arrive before the 7:10 a.m. drop-off time, please park in a designated parking spot and wait for staff to arrive at the gate to check students in. Early arrivals parked along the curb have blocked the traffic flow for other cars coming in to park.
  • Mornings are getting chilly! If you have the heat on in your car, try to make sure it is not blowing directly on your child's face. It is suggested that you turn down the heat when you get in the car line, and even crack the window a bit before your child's temperature is taken. This will hopefully avoid having to send you around to the second temperature check-point.
Don't Forget Your Water Bottle
We highly encourage students to bring bottled water or reusable bottles filled with water from home in order to hydrate during the school day. For those who forget, yard supervision will offer bottled water on an emergency basis during morning recess. They will be sold for $1.00 each.
Student Pictures Important Deadline
Students who had their First Communion photos taken, will have until Monday, November 16, to order if you want your pictures delivered to the school. After this date, you will have to pay for shipping directly to your home.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at info.simonsonphoto@gmail.com or call our studio at (949) 495-2735.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL.

We are currently working to help connect St. Serra families who are interested in carpooling to and from school. We know your time is valuable - carpooling will keep the drop-off and pick-up lines shorter, save gas, give you back a bit of time each week (and your kids may even make some new friends!).
