Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School, What a great Spirit Week we’ve had! It has been so fun to see your students enjoying the fun dress days, the yummy Dole Whip, the pep rally … and Homecoming! It was awesome seeing so many families and alumni cheering on our undefeated Dolphin soccer team while visiting with each other and coming back to our campus. This is such a great community!  Today and tomorrow are conferences. Parents in K – 8th grades will receive testing results from our Beginning of Year NWEA testing. I strongly recommend that you look at these results, and that you also take some time to explore the resources available at this website: https://www.nwea.org/the-map-suite/family-toolkit/. There are so many tools that can help you support your student. NURSE'S NOTES We will continue to work closely with our local health department officials and the Catholic Schools Office to ensure the safety of our students and staff should the school experience a positive case of COVID-19. Please see the attached document regarding screening of your students and on-campus requirements should someone test positive for COVID-19. REMINDER: Students must stay home if a household member is being tested for COVID and must remain out until results have returned.

OCTOBER FAMILY ROSARY The month of October is dedicated to the Rosary, and after the Mass, the Rosary is the most powerful prayer at our disposal. St. John Paul II often said that the Rosary is a prayer of peace, and he encouraged families to pray the Rosary together. Please sign up for a day that your family will pray the Rosary together. HALLOWEEN SCIENCE DAY VOLUNTEERING Please join us for Halloween Science Day on Oct. 29th! We have many fun activities planned, and we need safe environment-certified volunteers to help to make our day a success! Please review the available slots on the sign-up genius below. All volunteers must comply with safe environment training!  NOTE: Grades K-2nd, 3rd-5th and 6th-8th will be rotating through stations by class. Please note the grade-levels you choose to sign-up for. All volunteers must remain at the same station for your entire shift to assist ALL classes rotating through. Thank you! Pre-K3 & Pre-K4 will not need volunteers on Halloween Science Day, since they have Pumpkin Day earlier in the month. Their activities will take place in the classroom.

AROUND OUR PARISH

Tony Meléndez is coming to St. Anthony's! A Nicaraguan-American Christian singer and songwriter, Tony was born without arms. He learned to play guitar with his feet and has been glorifying the Lord through song for over 30 years. He's played for John Paul II, received numerous accolades and awards, and performed in 44 countries. All proceeds will go toward St. Anthony's Youth Ministry and Faith Formation programs. General Admission: $12 Family General Admission (4 or more): $10 Doors open at 6 pm. The performance will take place in the gymnasium. Please enter through Sheltz Hall.
