Colleen Mercuri-Johnson, MSW, LISW-S, Hope Tree Consulting LLC. Colleen holds a Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from the Child Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute. She provides consultation to teams supporting individuals with complex trauma histories and is a co-lead for the Southwest Regional Trauma Informed Care Collaborative, an initiative through Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services and Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. An experienced mental health therapist, Colleen specializes in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disability (IDD). She speaks nationally on co-occurring mental health and IDD including treatment for problem sexual behaviors, the impact of trauma and the healing power of connection, sexuality and healthy relationship development across the lifespan.
Trauma Responsive Supervision Series: Supervisor as a Champion- Creating Organizational Safe Space
Supervisors navigate between many different roles: teacher, advocate, evaluator & advisor to name a few. While this 6 session series will build upon previous sessions to deepen a supervisor’s knowledge, participants can pick and choose which one to attend.
Sessions are intended to build trauma responsive practices and be interactive, creating a safe learning space for attendees to share ideas, challenges and successes. We learn and grow through our shared commitment to those we serve and our relationships with each other.
Objectives
1. Attendees will explore 4 types of safety and how to bring them into the supervision space.
2. Attendees will be introduced to evaluation tools for assessing safety in their agency.
Cost: Free!
Masks are required for all people regardless of vaccinatation status.
