Here are some recent stories from our blog:
The ‘Accident’ That Wasn’t
On the third ring, I realized it was not a dream. Fumbling in the dark, I grabbed the receiver before it could ring another time. “Hello?”
“Mrs. Miller?” said a serious but unfamiliar voice. As I struggled from sleep two thoughts collided: What time is it? and This is not an annoying wrong number.
The Crows
The crows come in winter
Congregate in my treetops.
Their cawing is quite annoying
They don’t know when to stop.

They land on our roof
Each morning so early.
Their claws dance on the shingles.
Their demeanor is too surly.
COVID Thoughts
I Want
I want my WORLD – travel
I want my COUNTRY – united
I want my CITY – livable
I want my FRIENDS & FAMILY – in person
I want my LIFE – me
BACK
The Lake
Trickling water soothes and calms my soul
as I watch each ripple during my stroll.

Here and there I see a duck swim by.
I take a deep breath and then I sigh.

The water would be too cold for me
since the air is at a low degree.
