(Short Note) From the Pastor
Greetings from Montreat Conference Center (Presbyterian) in North Carolina (just east of Asheville). Just a short note to again express my deep gratitude for the gracious and generous gift of my sabbatical!

I'm realizing that setting aside church responsibilities for a time does not preclude me from thinking and praying for you, and for Sunday mornings.

My time away is already reaping the fruits of rest, relaxation, and renewal. As my dad used to say, "I got nothing to do and all day to do it."

Photos: the cabin (Walnut Lodge) where I'm staying for 2 weeks at Montreat; Lake Susan at the conference center itself, where I'll move to the Assembly Inn next for the week-long Arts, Recreation, and Worship Conference; a strenuous hike up Lookout Trail (the building at the bottom of the hill is the Inn itself); reading and taking in the awesome scenery from the balcony at the Assembly Inn.

Blessings, Rev. Todd
A Celebration of 15 Years with Pastor Todd
November 5th

**Save the Date**

Rev. Todd recently (March 17) celebrated his
15th Anniversary as our pastor at College Hill!

It’s difficult to believe, yet so much has happened during his tenure. In order to recognize this (and the 30th anniversary of his ordination in October), a celebration on November 5th, is being planned, in Fellowship Hall after worship-with a prime rib dinner and special events.

So, please mark your calendar because you won’t want to miss the celebration!
Congratulations

Bealtaine (Beltaine) Gathering
May 2 at 6:30 pm

Three things in the world between which there is a wonderful difference:
the faces of people
the utterances of people
the writings of people
Celtic Circle will meet at the Unity Circles of The Gathering Place to celebrate the Celtic Festival of Bealtaine. Our program title is “Poems and Prose in the Park”.
As part of the program, you are invited to bring a poem or short reading that relates (in any way) to spring and summer. Your reading should be no longer than 2 minutes. Extra points to those we share their own unique compositions but readings by any author are welcome.
(Click here to) contact Mark Miller for more details on this celebration.
Caroline Johnson is joined by Co Edwards with
The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, who led

COMPASSION CAMP:
What Every Living Thing Needs

July 11-13 evenings
for ALL ages

Compassion Camp is a program where participants explore what it means to have compassion for themselves and others and the world.

As we look around the world, our deep need for compassion becomes more evident with each passing day, perhaps now more than ever. Compassion Camp aims to cultivate compassion for each other, ourselves, and the world. We will examine different places in our lives where we can cultivate compassion. Using each Compassion Camp component, we’ll explore themes of compassion as they relate to each session’s scripture.

Through Compassion Camp: What Every Living Thing Needs: Participants will explore what all living things need to live - shelter, food, water, air, and community - and how we can have compassion for the living earth especially in their local ecosystems.

Through awareness, gratitude, wonderment, reciprocity, and kinship, participants will consider how to become co-sustainers and participants in the work of God’s creation.

Using Psalm 104 as our grounding text, along with supporting scripture, participants will closely examine the interconnectedness of the whole earth - humans alongside the more than human world.
