Naturally, I'm being flippant -- there's nothing "vacation-y" about being held hostage, like the rest of the world, by Covid-19 for the previous 12 months. As such, I was very fortunate to have had opportunities to continue my caricature work.

Frankly, I've also been fortunate in accepting assignments that could be worked out of my studio, with photos for reference instead of engaging in "live" events where, face mask wearing notwithstanding, there lingers -- as in droplets in the air -- the hazard of exposing myself and others to a Covid "carrier."

  • The presidential combatants were commissioned by a politically involved individual to share with like-minded friends and media outlets
  • Sandy, George, Stella, Liz and Pete are Charlotte Airport volunteers who were selected for their meritorious service in helping travelers to navigate their way to the planes; their caricatures are now adorning the wall of the airport staff room
