Plavan third-grade students wowed family, staff, and peers last week as they presented their Living Wax Museum. These Panthers each chose influential figures from the past or present. After several months of research and study, students prepared a biographical speech presented in costume. Students shared their person's character traits, significant accomplishments, adult life, and death or current life details. Way to go, Panthers!

On Monday evening, under Elena MacDonald's and Sarah Hughes's direction, our middle school choirs presented their Summer Concert, Endless Music. The middle school choirs from Futlon, Masuda, and Talbert showcased their talents before performing together for a packed house at Shoreline Baptist Church. Their stunning performances highlighted the talents and commitment of these gifted musicians. It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by our families, staff, and community. 

The Board of Trustees honored members of our Superintendent Parent Council and each of our PTA/O Presidents. We are truly grateful for these remarkable parent volunteers!

Moreover, the Board of Trustees celebrated the commitment of our teachers who have completed the rigorous two-year Induction Program and are now eligible to receive their clear teaching credentials. In addition, the Board recognized the commitment and dedication of their mentors, who supported them throughout the completion of the program. Congratulations to our inductees, and a huge thank you to our mentors!

Lastly, the Board had the opportunity to honor FVSD Teacher of the Year, Staci Trestik, and FVSD Classified Employee of the Year, Rosemariae Dang. Congratulations, Ms. Trestik and Ms. Dang!

Remember, tomorrow, Monday, June 19th is a holiday and non-student day. When we return to school for our last three days, all campuses will be on a modified schedule, early release times.
