During National Family Month, the First Lady joined the Governor at two, very special events. The first, honoring Father’s Day and Virginia Fatherhood Week, boasted faith and nonprofit leaders dedicated to supporting fathers and their families. The second -- a first of its kind at the Executive Mansion -- saw Secretary of the Commonwealth Kay Coles James and Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears and other leaders join with more than 100 guests from across Virginia in remembrance and celebration of Juneteenth.

The bipartisan legislation enhances the administration's emphasis on transformational change to Virginia’s behavioral health services -- reducing the burden on law enforcement and improving access to crisis care. At the bill signing, the Watsons, who tragically lost their son, Brody, to suicide, shared their story and received a flag flown over the Capitol.
