This is going to be a great year! The season is young and there is so much hope and promise in the air now. It feels monumentally revitalizing just to be out and about again where we most like to be… at Lake Sunapee and the surrounding communities!

Planning ahead to honor all the “Fathers and Grandfathers" on their special day, our thought was to feature The 3 Tenors in concert… and their sons, also tenors. This video is the finale of a concert in 1994 with the famous tenors in a jovial, teasing mood. “O Sole Mio” by Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras &
Luciano Pavarotti.
Ten years ago, videos began appearing of 3 young virtuoso tenors purported to be sons of the famous 3 Tenors.
“Snopes” did a little sleuthing and by the time they appeared on “America’s Got Talent” as the group Il Volo, it was revealed though talented tenors indeed, unrelated to the famous three. Just FYI... The boys never claimed the relationship. When their video went viral, hearing their voices & seeing a plausible resemblance, many online viewers & media jumped to a conclusion.

Artists Weekend
Saturday-Sunday, June 19-20, 10:00am-4:00pm
Sunday – Wet Paint Sale: 3:00-4:00pm
Note the new date this year! Discover the natural beauty and gardens of The Fells through the eyes of prominent New England artists as they create en plein air. Visitors are invited to observe artists interpret the landscape; watch as their paintings come to life, and discuss their individual techniques and learn what inspires them. Select artists demonstrate special artistry methods. Sunday culminates with an exhibit of the weekend’s paintings; and a wet paint sale. There is also an opportunity to meet and greet the Sculptors who have created the works throughout the grounds for Art in Nature: Sculpture 2021. In addition to the daily painting demonstrations you can enjoy our Silent Auction which is new this year. Bid on these works of art generously donated by our painters at any point during the weekend. The silent auction closes at the end of the event on Sunday. Note that Sunday’s wet paint sale is free to all beginning at 3pm and that paintings may be purchased off the easel anytime on Saturday or Sunday. Members: free, non-members: included with regular admission fee. Artists Weekend is generously sponsored by Omega Structural Engineers, PLLC. LEARN MORE
