The passage is familiar - that one that you've probably heard many a time at a wedding. But did you know that despite it talking about love it has nothing really to do with a romantic relationship between two people? Over the last couple of Sundays, we have examined God-given gifts: both individual and collective ones. This week, we will continue with that same thread of thought but ponder on this passage as we think about the impact of the words we use.

The NC weather is at it again this week, as it seems to be the case this January, the worship team and I have been keeping a close eye on the weather. As of the time that this newsletter is published, there is "only" a chance of one to two inches of snow. However, being that this is North Carolina, there's a chance that it could be more, or it could also be accompanied by rain, freezing rain, and ice; then again, nothing may happen either! (Welcome to North Carolina, am I right?) Therefore, worship will take place virtually ONLY this Sunday, January 30, at 9:30. Although there may be a chance that nothing happens, we would rather err on the side of caution and make sure that everyone stays safe.

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday - albeit virtually! Stay safe and warm!

Pastor Kathryn

Please bring any you don’t use to church with you, leaving them on the Missions table in the Dogwood Lobby closest to the double doors leading towards the classrooms.
