Join Us for Senior Sunday | |
Congratulations to our seniors! This coming Sunday, we will recognize our graduating seniors during our worship service. What an honor it is to recognize these gifted individuals and celebrate their accomplishments: |
Austin Carter, Jr., graduate of the Academy for Classical Education, who will attend the University of Georgia and major in music with a goal of becoming a professional musician.
|
William "Liam" Hampton Fickling, graduate of Stratford Academy, who will attend Florida State University and major in finance.
|
Rachel Heacox, graduate of Mount de Sales Academy, who will attend the University of North Georgia and major in psychology with a goal of becoming a speech pathologist.
|
Jackson Smith, graduate of VIP Online Academy, who will work as an apprentice electrician at Metro Power.
|
During our service, we will also award the Nelle P. Walker Scholarship; one of the funds within our endowment. This scholarship awards $5,000 over four years to one or two high school seniors who are members of our youth group, with $1,250 given each fall that the recipient remains enrolled. In this way, Mulberry helps sustain their education and continues our connection with these exemplary students.
I am grateful for the witness of the Walker family who, several years ago, saw a need and created this fund. If you or your family are interested in giving to this or any of our other funds, or if you are interested in setting up such a fund now or in your estate planning, please reach out to me or to Hunter Godsey to begin those conversations.
I look forward to seeing you in worship as we celebrate and send off these outstanding seniors!
— Ted
