District Update from Dr. Wagner
Dear Fairview Families,

I can’t tell you how proud I am of our teachers, support staff, and administrators as they prepare for our March 1st return to our regular schedule. There is excitement in the air and relief that we have successfully made it to this point in the pandemic. Our building principals will be sending out more specific information in the coming days regarding procedures and protocols for March 1st and beyond. It has not been an easy road, but we have navigated it well… together.

Thank YOU for your understanding, patience, collaboration, and kindness through it all. We all are weary, but the end is within sight… Stay strong, Warriors!

Here’s a cool “Did you know?”...
The Mars rover “Perseverance” touched down this afternoon. Did you know that Fairview alumnus, Alan Falquet, Ph.D., FHS Class of 1965 and member of the Fairview Park Athletic Hall of Fame (inducted 2014), was a member of the NASA panel established in 2007 called the “Human Exploration of Mars Science Analysis Group” that was charged with assessing the scientific goals and objectives for the exploration of Mars by humans and to identify potential landing sites for human exploration of Mars. His work has played a major role in Mars geological research for decades. #FairviewProud!

As students return to school and settle back into our regular schedule, we will have opportunities for them to participate in a variety of new activities and academic assistance programs that will be available before, during, and after school hours. We’re also developing partnerships with regional organizations to develop exciting programs, field trips, and summer camps that will help our students move from “survive” to “thrive”!

We continue to embrace our vision of “empowering each other to learn differently, care deeply and aspire to excellence” in new and creative ways. We hope you will join us in encouraging students to join and participate in these activities. The learning will be fun, engaging, targeted, effective and innovative. We will provide more information in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned, and...
Stay safe, be well, and keep smiling!
