Kavvanah of the Week
This year we are exploring kavvanot - short orientations or intentions that reflect the part of ourselves that we bring to a particular moment.

Kavvanot can be used for moments and actions of any size and significance.

For taking a walk:
As I leave my home
may I become aware
that I am only one part
of a greater reality.

As I take each step
may I be grateful
to walk on the earth.

As I look to the sky
may my perspective
become broader.

As I open my ears
may I hear
the world’s heart singing.

May I acknowledge
the beauty of creation
and may I be a part
of its flourishing.

Rabbi Deborah Silver
Parashat B'Shallach
Torah: Exodus 14:14 - 16:10
Maftir: Exodus 16:8-10
