Failures, a part of our stories
whose burden we bear, by
whose grace we have
grown.
I give thanks to you Lord
for these moments, these graces,
that touched down in my life
along the way
to save me.

Vestry Update, by Huldah Niles, Sr. Warden
The Vestry met via Zoom on Monday, February 15th. Welcome to new Vestry members: Allison Ferro, Maddie Harvala, Jeff Ronbeck, and Jeffrey Strommen. The January Minutes and Financials were accepted and approved. Marilyn Clark shared about the Compline Ministry and the rhythmic/daily comfort it brings. The Annual Meeting was debriefed and St. David’s Vision Statements were discussed. Katherine Lewis gave an update on HR and staffing. A Vision Team is in place for discussion on desires for a new Music Director. Job descriptions are being created for our newly configured office positions. Katherine announced that Maddie Harvala has volunteered to serve as our interim Office Assistant as we make these staff transitions. The Vestry appointed Bill Jacobs to the Endowment Committee for a 3 year term. Huldah Niles was asked by ECMN to speak at Lay Leadership Day on February 27, all are welcome to attend. The Vestry has a virtual retreat planned for the morning of March 6. Tactics for living into St. David’s Vision Statements will be our focus. We are looking forward to seeing you all for the virtual Lent activities this month.

January Income was slightly higher than budget led by a significant amount of prepaid pledges for 2021 and a special gift of $10,000. Expenses continue to be below budget because of lower than normal use of the building and close expense management by the Rector and Wardens. As you can see, our net income for the month was 4.4% higher than planned.
Parish finances continue to be stable and we are very grateful for your continued financial support of St. David’s. By God’s grace, our congregation is blessed in so many ways!
God’s Peace,
Cathy Schwichtenberg
Treasurer

Each box will have an assortment of items including proteins, pastas, sauces, canned fruits and vegetables and more. All are welcome, no appointment necessary. Wear your mask and drive through to get your box!
ICA Online Bazaar
In the past, ICA has hosted an in-person bazaar twice a year. Due to the current COVID environment, ICA has had to cancel this event. They are pleased to announce that this bazaar is now being hosted online. Please visit the bazaar website (link below) to shop for items such as furniture, rugs, home goods, toys and more. They are priced at about 20% of retail value, which make them affordable for many. Your ICA liaisons know a grandchild who was thrilled with her bicycle bought at the Bazaar in as well as a young couple who were grateful for rugs for their first home which were purchased at the bazaar. New items are added weekly. Do check it out online. The best part is that all proceeds go back into the mission of the ICA Food Shelf.

Our own Huldah Niles, Sr. Warden,
will be featured as part of the
"Lay Leader Spotlight"

On Saturday, February 27th, ECMN will be gathering lay leaders from across the state for fellowship, inspiration, and skills-sharing. Lay leaders need not serve on the Vestry or in any official capacity; anyone, of any age, who's shown aptitude for leadership--by reading the lessons, innovating a new Zoom ministry, starting a donation drive--is welcome and encouraged to join. If you'd like to connect with other lay leaders across the state, we'd love to have you join us!

In this time of the coronavirus pandemic, the need to reach our most vulnerable parishioners has been great. Our 11 person Pastoral Care Team has stepped up to the plate and has been regularly calling around 24 St. David's members and families to share in remote fellowship, prayer, and conversation to determine if we, as a community, could help address any of their unmet needs. We are pleased to report that virtually all of these parishioners are doing well so far and have their basic needs met by their facilities and/or family. They are in good spirits and continue to remain resilient in the face of isolation and uncertainty.
If you find yourself in need of food or other resources, please contact:
or:
and we will assist you in finding solutions.
