“God loves a cheerful giver.”
– 2 Corinthians 9:8
Dear Saint Mary Friends,

COVID Relief in India through Fr. Lourderaj and a wonderful Faith Formation event are highlighted in this newsletter. Also, today is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and tomorrow is the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Two music videos for the days can be found below:

1. India COVID Relief
As some of you know, we have been having conversations with Fr. Lourderaj discussing ways in which we at St. Mary’s can help his Community of Norbertine Fathers address the surge of COVID in his native India. Collection baskets will be at the doors of the Hall and Gym to receive any donations parishioners choose to make. We will send the funds collected to the Norbertine Superior and give a full accounting to you the following weekend. The Superior has submitted a list of what they hope to accomplish through your generosity, and needless to say, are very grateful. Let us also keep them and their people in our prayers.

2. Catholic Honors
Catholic Honors Award Recipients

Last Sunday evening following the 5pm Mass twenty families gathered for our first ever Catholic Honors Recognition Ceremony. The evening began with Eucharistic Adoration & Benediction—some silent prayer time with Jesus truly-present in the monstrance—followed by presentation of awards. Children from each of 8 grades received recognitions for Community Leadership. These were selected by their grade-level launchers for excellent and helpful participation in their zooms this year, encouraging their classmates towards deeper holiness—it was a tough one, but these children still managed to shine! Some others were recognized for Engagement with the Arts, Living the Spiritual & Corporal Works of Mercy and Commitment to a Life of Prayer. More photos and student projects can be found on our website. Congratulations to all of our young parishioner awardees!
