Social Responsibility
Food Drive for Harrison Pantry a Big Success!
On May 15, Rye Y Togetherhood volunteers gathered at Harrison Market for a “Pack a Van” food drive for the Harrison Food Pantry. Not only did we fill the Y’s van, we also had to use volunteer cars for the overflow! Many thanks to the Harrison Market, our dedicated volunteers, all of the generous people who donated groceries, and the Harrison Food Pantry for their important work in the community.

"Stuff a Bus" at Healthy Kids Day
Help the Rye Y “Stuff a Bus” on Sunday, June 13, with snacks for kids attending the Port Chester Carver Center’s 2021 Summer Experience.  Bring bags or boxes of individually wrapped snacks to the Rye Y yellow bus in our parking lot. Suggested snacks: granola bars, snack-size bags of pretzels, goldfish, or dried fruit, small boxes of raisins. No nuts and nothing perishable , please. Note: if you do not plan to attend Healthy Kids Day, but would like to make a donation, you may drop it off at the Mead Place entrance to the Y between 10 am and 1:30 pm on Sunday, June 13

“Pack a Van” for Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force
In late June, the Rye Y will collect oral hygiene products (e.g. toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, etc.) for the families served by the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force. Stay tuned for details!

We also continue to support Bread of Life food pantry in Rye by collecting non-perishable food items on an ongoing basis. Leave your donation in the yellow-topped bin in the Y’s entryway any time the Y is open.

The need is great and your generosity will be greatly appreciated!
