EDUCATION SESSION
Close-up on Gender Disparity
Look at the data! Only with the facts on gender and wage disparity in hand, companies and governments can fully articulate policies to address the gaps in women’s participation and compensation.

Whether looking broadly at trends in the global labor market or specifically at an individual firm, the underlying data is essential to understanding the factors that contribute to how women are hired, compensated and advancing in their companies.

Gain insights into global research on the sources of gender disparities, as Professor Admed Mushfiq Mobarak reviews the evidence. Consider how his findings may drive policy on the roles that government, companies and individuals play in producing such wage disparities. Reflect on what you and your colleagues might do to pursue a more equitable, just and economically efficient society.
