A Message From Your Grand Knight

Hello Brothers,

As my term as Grand Knight of Council 486 begins, I'd like to first and foremost express the considerable honor I feel in representing such a remarkable group of faithful men and Brothers in Christ. I pray and have confidence that we'll carry on the momentum gained over the past four years through the leadership of our past Grand Knights, Kevin St. Pierre and Steve Merschen, and continue to grow in strength and brotherhood.

While Ray, my Worthy Brother and Deputy Grand Knight, and I have taken stewardship of our respective roles, our council is truly led and guided not by any individuals, but by our companionship, our togetherness, and our conviction as brother knights in our faith. Channeling our principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism, each and every one of you play a crucial role in helping to steer the ship as we seek to make a difference for our community, our parish, and our families. Your continued attendance at council meetings and your active participation is enormously appreciated and encouraged. Our next meeting in the gym at St. Joseph’s Parish will take place on:

Thursday, July 13

8 PM

Looking back for a moment – we had a great turnout on Sunday, June 11, for the Corpus Christi procession here at St. Joseph's. May God reward you all for your attendance.

Lastly, I just want to encourage you to check out the Prayer and Reflection videos below in this and forthcoming issues of The Shipwright 2.0. I hope you'll find them valuable and spiritually enriching.

See you all on Thursday night!

Blessed Fr. Michael J. McGivney, pray for us.

Vivat Jesus,

Jonathan Geissler, GK

Interview with Sound of Freedom Producer

Jonathan Reyes sits down with actor and producer Eduardo Verastegui to discuss his new movie, Sound of Freedom. The film tells the story of a harrowing effort to save children from the horrors of trafficking. He also discusses the dire real-world realities of child sex trafficking and the movement he hopes the film will ignite to end this criminal enterprise.
