The final LKABC meeting of the year has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 24th at 5:30 PM, in the Commons. Our agenda will include a discussion on the upcoming school year. Please join us!

YEARBOOK AWARD

The Luther High School yearbook staff received an honorable mention award in the 2022 Lifetouch Yearbook Showcase Contest.

The publications were sorted into four divisions: high schools with more than 1,000 students enrolled, high schools with fewer than 1,000 students enrolled, middle schools/junior high schools and elementary schools.

Yearbooks were evaluated on the following criteria: theme/theme development, design, continuity, photography, writing, creativity, content and coverage. “The books reflect hours of hard work by the staff and advisers,” Laura Schaub, Lifetouch yearbook education specialist and contest coordinator, said. “These books are some of the best books in the nation.” 

For over 85 years, Lifetouch has been the trusted name in photography and preserving memories for schools and families. Lifetouch is a division of Shutterfly.

JUNIOR KNIGHTS FOOTBALL

Luther Junior Knights offer activities for youth in the Luther High Association. This year, we will be offering football for boys entering grades 6th-8th grade. We are able to offer a 7th-grade team and an 8th-grade team. 6th-grade boys interested in playing will be on the 7th-grade team.

Registration deadline: 8/13/23 Use this Link to register. Please consider registering early in order for us to plan for the season and distribute information for game and practice schedules to all players as quickly as possible.

Cost of program: $150.00 

Includes: The cost includes the rental of a helmet, shoulder pads, pants, game and practice jersey, and knee pads. Girdles will be available for purchase for $40.00 (parents can also purchase this on their own if they prefer). A mouthguard will be provided to all players.

Orientation/Equipment Handout: Equipment handout and Orientation will take place at Luther High School at 6:30 on Monday, 8/14/23 in the ACE gym. Please bring $150 cash or check for payment at this time. Checks can be made payable to Luther Junior Knights.

MLC KNIGHTS GOLF CAMP

Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota is offering a golf camp this summer. This camp is designed for high school students of all abilities (beginner, intermediate, experienced) to develop all facets of their golf game.
