Through this week of challenges and adversity, NISD would like to thank many individuals, organizations and entities who have come forward to help prepare our buildings and serve our families.
First, the district would like to extend its appreciation to the NISD maintenance team, ABM Industries, and a number of contractors who have been cleaning and repairing damage caused by flooding. We want to thank these individuals for their nonstop work and immense efforts to get our campuses back up and running.
The Northwest ISD Education Foundation provided a generous donation to feed nearly 1,000 students today and have supplied winter weather clothing and other resources for families this week. Aramark joined these efforts as well by providing food and staff who helped coordinate and assemble bags of food for students. We are so grateful for these organizations who continuously support NISD families in time of need!
The Town of Trophy Club also provided food assistance for families. Milestone Church, the Northwest ISD Council of PTAs and Byron Nelson High School PTA provided volunteers for meal delivery and distribution. Thanks to these groups for stepping up to answer the call for help!
We are also grateful for NISD technology division staff who have worked throughout the week to keep the district network up and running and to troubleshoot issues related to outages.
Thank you again for your service to our families!
