We will be helping host this festival with our friends from Seed To Spoon! There will be all sorts of gardening/nature related activities for kids from planting their own seed to bring home, learning how to dance like a bee, smelling like a butterfly, exploring the world of ladybugs, face painting, and many other fun activities! Most activities will be good for ages 4-"too cool for kids stuff". There will be a few toddler-friendly activities as well.

August Maintenance Guidelines
|
- Mowing heights for cool-season turf grasses should be 3" during hot, dry summer months. Gradually raise mowing height of Bermuda grass lawns from 1 1/2 to 2 inches.Look carefully for bagworms! Apply ferti-lome spinosad, Hi-Yield 55% Malathion or Hi-Yield 38 Plus as treatment.
- For stressed out trees and shrubs, use Marcum's Root Stimulator and ferti-lome Fish Emulsion Fertilizer
- See Marcum's watering guidelines for new and established trees and shrubs.
- Aphids on your Crape Myrtle trees? If you notice a sticky substance on leaves, apply Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insect Spray
- Take the guess work out of watering your trees by using a TreegatorĀ®. It takes less than 5 minutes to install and fill and ensures your tree will be watered properly during the summer months.
- The hotter and drier it gets, the larger the spider mite populations become! Spray plant foliage with Hi-Yield 55% Malathion SPRAY or Natural Guard Insecticidal Soap
-
