Message From Father King
On Friday, May 28th, we gathered for Mass as the Guardian Angels School community, thanked God for the many blessings that came our way this school year and asked for God’s blessings for a safe and fun-filled summer for our angels, their families, our faculty, administration and staff.
Every year has its blessings and its challenges. This academic year was truly unique, and we hope one-of-a-kind! We dealt with challenges previously unknown and we did so successfully because of the support and help of our parents, the co-operation and dedication of our wonderful faculty, the strength and leadership or our administration and staff.
I want to thank our PTA for their dedication to all of our children, for their amazing generosity, love and support given in so many thoughtful and creative ways. You are a bright light of joy and happiness. A most sincere word of gratitude also to our GA Athletic Boosters whose support and generosity help to make each school year a blessed time; but during this year your caring made it especially blessed.
Wednesday, August 19, 2020 doesn’t seem that long ago and Thursday, August 19, 2021 doesn’t seem that far away. Truly, all ones’ life’s a circle and the year’s keep spinning by!!
So, we wish you a safe and happy summer. See you in August.
Again, to all who brought God’s joy and love to our children this school year, Thank You and God Bless.
Fr. King

2021-2022 Head Servers
Congratulations to our newly appointed Head Servers for the 2021-2022 school year: Lauren Beiser, Louis Smith, Gavin Spitzmueller, and Kaelin Timko. May God bless them in their ministry to our parish!
CCD
Guardian Angels will be offering 2 different types of learning for our CCD program for the upcoming school year. We are excited to be able to bring our children back for an in-person option for Sunday mornings, 8:30am -9:45am, or families have a homeschool option. The cost for both programs will be the same. Registration is due August 13, so we have time to order materials and prepare for the program. Those wishing to enroll their children in CCD grades K-8 can find registration information on the parish website. You can also use this link to register and pay for either option available to our families. Get your registrations in today to make sure your child is enrolled! Classes begin Sunday, September 12. Know a family who may be interested in CCD? Feel free to pass on the information!

All Parish Volunteers: New Child Protection Platform
In July 2021, the Archdiocese will be moving to SafeParish as the new platform for Child Protection training and compliance. SafeParish is an organization that specializes in training and education solutions for organizations world-wide. They have 20+ years of experience in providing child safe environment training programs. SafeParish will continue to work with our current background check provider – Selection.com. All training and background information in your current VIRTUS account will be transferred to SafeParish. No new live training through SafeParish will be required if you have completed live child protection training through VIRTUS. Ongoing child protection training will still be required for all volunteers and employees and will consist of quarterly interactive video-based training instead of monthly bulletins. As the Archdiocese moves closer to the conversion date, additional information regarding your new SafeParish account will be provided. If you have questions, please contact safeenvironment@gaparish.org.

Mark Your Calendars - The GA 5K Halo Hustle Is Back In 2021
We were extremely excited about the changes that were made to the 5k race in 2019 — and this year it will be back and even bigger than before! Our Halo Hustle will be held Saturday, September 11th. In addition to a great chip-timed 5K course, the race will be followed with a party including live music, food trucks, beverages, and a ninja warrior course. More details to come, but mark your calendars now because this is an event you won’t want to miss!
Sponsorship Opportunities
Looking for ways to promote your company or donate to special projects at GA? See the attached file for more details on how you can become a sponsor for this great event. Due to the generosity of our sponsors and participation from our community, in just two years the 5K has been able to fund the HSPT course for the 8th grade students, install (3) new basketball hoops on the playground and donated $15,000 towards the PTA playground project. Help us continue to make GA school a great place for our teachers and students!
