Meet Belle, the star of Theatre Alliance’s upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast, at Kaleideum North!

At 11 am on Saturday, September 3, Belle will share her love of reading as she reads the story of Beauty and the Beast. And who knows? Some of her enchanted friends might pop up to join in the fun!

And remember, Kaleideum Downtown will reopen for weekends on September 3 adn 4. And Kaleideum North will be open for Labor Day on Monday, September 5!
Parents' Night Out: Maker Mania September 17
Need a break from the kids this fall? Drop them off at Kaleideum North and enjoy a few hours for YOU when you register for Parents Night Out: Maker Mania!

Parent's Night Out is for children iin grades K-6. On September 17, from 5:30-8:30 pm, the kids will be able to get in touch with their inner maker when they engage with Wake Forest Engineering Learning and Support Center for an engineering design challenge, code with Beebots, and play mini golf with Spheros. In addition and weather permitting, the Forsyth Astronomical Society will be on site to show them the stars! .

Pizza dinner and snacks are included in the price. Members: $25 for first child; $20 for each additional child Nonmembers: $30 for first child; $25 for each additional child.
The Kaleideum Educators' Guide is Available Now!


Attention Teachers ...

Book your field trips with Kaleideum. The 2022-23 Educators Guide is available now, This year, all field trips take place at Kaleideum North, 400 West Hanes Mill Road.

Look for some old favorites and some new programs. All programs are correclated to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, and preschool programs are correlated to the North Carolina Foundations for Early Learning and Development.

Take Care with Dr. Ricks

Dr. Shawn Ricks is a counselor, life coach, and Appalachian State University professor who is committed to helping people take care of themselves and others. On September 25, join her for a Write & Shred Activity for all ages. Draw or write about something that makes you angry or sad, and then release those feelings as you crank it through a paper shredder.

NEW! Zula Patrol: Under the Weather

When weather is stolen from the planets in our solar system, the Zula Patrol comes to the rescue!

Learn about weather processes not only on Earth but on other planets in our solar system with this lovable gang of aliens called the Zula Patrol. 

See it on Wednesdays, Thursdaya and Fridays in August at 11 am in the Kaleideum Planetarium.
Spend an Afternoon with the Universe

Visit us in the Kaleideum planetarium for
  • Space Live at 2 pm. Explore the wonders of the universe.
  • Live Sky Tour at 3 pm. Take a tour of the stars and the night sky.
  • Laser Special at 4 pm. Check out a musical Laser Special.

Kaleideum has weekend Featured Artists for Laser Specials at 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday:

  • August 28 and 29: Beyoncé
  • September 3 and 4 - the Beatles
  • September 10 and 11 - 'NSYNC
  • September 17 and 18 - Prince
  • September 24 and 25 - Pink Floyd
 
Laser Specials are $2 for members; $3 for non-members.
 
General Admission is not required if you only want to see a Laser Special and explore the Museum. General Admission is required for all other planetarium programs.
