Helping the world understand the appropriate value and use of geosynthetics

The largest regional conference on geosynthetics will now take place in September of 2022. Health and safety concerns with the continuing Covid-19 pandemic have prompted organizers to announce new dates for the 7th European Geosynthetics Conference of 4-7 September 2022. READ MORE

Choosing geosynthetics offers the best of both worlds in cost-effectiveness and sustainability.

There is a common misconception that sustainable solutions for infrastructure will cost more. This is not so in the case of geosynthetics. In reality, many geosynthetics solutions were developed to provide financial benefits and only later did the huge energy savings and environmental benefits become obvious.

Announcing exciting changes for the journal Geosynthetics International, an official journal of the IGS. The journal is available for free to all members as part of their IGS membership. Access to the journal can be made by following the instructions on the IGS website at https://www.geosyntheticssociety.org/journals/. READ MORE

Students can hear from some of the IGS’s most eminent experts via new university lecture series videos. The 30 to 60 minute recorded talks aim to widen access to and understanding of geosynthetics for those at the start of their engineering careers, particularly senior undergraduates and graduate students.
