TREDIS and TREDPLAN Use Stories

Three new studies have been completed using TREDIS to evaluate their impacts on the local economies.
  • NY MTA study - New York University Rudin Center for Transportation and Appleseed, Inc. used TREDIS to evaluate COVID-19 impacts to New York Metro Area's economy due to funding shortfalls.
  • Maryland - The High Road Foundation sponsored a study featured in the Washington Post that utilized TREDIS to assess a proposed Monorail connection along the I-270 corridor in Montgomery and Frederick Counties.
TREDIS Economic Leadership Group

The TREDIS Economic Leadership Group, which meets quarterly, has members representing a cross section of policy, planning, and economic development agencies. This year the group has shared notes on how various DOTs and MPOs are using TREDIS in different ways, discussed innovations in applying TREDIS for STIP prioritization, discussed "back-casting" and forecast validation; and hosted a round table of user lead developments for TREDIS.
