Penny Wars!

We are halfway through Penny Wars! So far, we raised over $3,750 and that's not including the 297 pounds of coins from Friday's weighing. The response from teachers, students, and families has been amazing! We can't wait to see what next week will bring!

Below is our Scoreboard and updates we post on Facebook. If you haven't had a chance to follow along, here they are below!

Scoreboard Updates

Who will go up? Who will go down? All we know for sure is there will be a lot of change!

Day 1 Scoreboard

Right now, Ms. Martino is in the lead, with Ms. Mahan and Ms. Eckler right on her heels!

Can you beat the class above you in the next Scoreboard update? Will Ms. Martino stay in the lead? The competition is fierce!!!

Day 3 Scoreboard

Ms. Martino's class has kept the lead! But Ms. Eckler has jumped to 2nd place and Ms. Hickey (who was 8th last time) has passed Ms. Mahan to grab third!

But the most amazing action is lower on the board. Ms. Yii's class got a power boost, passing 12 CLASSES to go into 10th place. And Ms. Cunningham's class was 18th last time and now 5th! If they keep up this pace, they may be in the top 3 category on Friday's scoreboard update!

Ms. Mooney (8th) and Ms. Cawley (13th) have made respectable gains, moving up a few places. Will slow and steady win the race? Anything is possible!

Day 5 Scoreboard

22 classes have moved around on this board!!! And yet, Ms. Martino's class continues to dominate. Ms. Hickey has taken second! Ms. Mahan has been saying for days that she'll return to the Top 3 and she succeeded! Impressive follow-through! Be careful, other classes may take this technique.

Ms. Lydon surprised us all, jumping up 10 places. Ms. Yii's class who was at the bottom on the Day 1 Scoreboard is now near the top at 5th place! Ms. Capozzi and Ms. Walsh waved to 7 and 6 classes as they moved closer to the top. After falling slightly in the last update, Mr. O'Hare sprinted up a few more positions.

What an amazing week! It all ends on Friday, October 29th. The winners will be announced by Monday, November 1st.

What are you playing for?

First place will win Extra Recess, PJ Day and a Recess Bucket!
Second place will win Extra Recess!
Third place will win a PJ Day!
And all three of their teachers will win a $50 gift card for their classroom!

Our Hallway Scoreboard has also been updated. This picture is from Wednesday's update. The race is on!
