HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS
Holiday celebrations center around food and Main Street Bookends in Warner is featuring a selection of great new cookbooks for adventurous bakers and cooks in the kitchen.
The Gift of Cooking

Cookbooks make wonderful gifts, and in this issue we've assembled a wide range to choose from. Nothing beats browsing in your local bookstore, feeling the pages and ogling the photographs, but we attempt here to give you a taste of some of our favorites. If there is a silver lining to the pandemic, it's that so many of us have rediscovered an appreciation for preparing food and sharing it with loved ones. READ MORE

LET'S GET ARTSY
DANCE THEATER OF HARLEM

Who needs a stage? Certainly not these ballet dancers from the Dance Theatre of Harlem! In the midst of the novel coronavirus pandemic, they decided to take their choreography to the streets of New York instead!

In a video shared online, several of the company’s dancers can be seen performing in various spots across New York City. They leap, twirl, and seemingly float in perfect harmony, filling the empty streets with joy.
Northern Stage’s “Tiny Necessary Theater” series is currently streaming “It’s Fine, I’m Fine” thru Nov. 29th. Also, running in tandem: “The Naked Librarian” and Chekhov’s “The Harmful Effects of Tobacco”, starring Gordon Clapp.

A gift of fine arts and crafts is perfect under the Christmas tree and helps support local artisans.
Just four more days to Shop the FELLS Boutique!
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that when animals are moved from pastures in Italy, newborn lambs aren't able to make the journey on their own. So it's donkey nannies to the rescue! Their specially made saddles have perfect little pouches for the tiny babies. How adorable is this?
VIDEO OF THE WEEK
If videos of cute, furry critters are good for our health…. a bevy of them accompanied by Randy Newman’s “You’ve Got a Friend” should keep everyone happy.
UNTIL NEXT WEEK
Even in the small towns of rural New England where we’ve felt relatively beyond the pandemic’s reach, COVID is surging. The Governor has strongly implored everyone to be safe, avoid crowds, consider celebrating special occasions with family and friends via Facebook or Zoom and always WEAR A MASK!  It’s a simple thing to do and adds a significant layer of safety. Behind the masks, we like to believe everyone is smiling.
