Welcome to the third Sunday after the Epiphany...

The texts for the day may be accessed here:

A lot more calling going on this week... in the book of Jonah, the prophet takes a mulligan and finally arrives in Ninevah (Ninevah!!); Paul rambles on as if there is going to be no tomorrow (seriously, he didn't think there was going to be a tomorrow...); and, in Mark's gospel, a whole lot of fisherman sign up.

Our readers for Sunday are Martha Grahame (Jonah) and Hope Sayles (Corinthians), and our prayer leader is Deb Shupe. The next lecture in our adult formation series - which will reflect on adaptations of Paul's theology in the later letters that were attributed to him. (Yo may be in for a surprise)

ANNOUNCEMENTS
“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

It’s a joy to be a member of All Saints, and never so much as now. In the midst of pandemic and rising risks, you’ve stepped up to meet our Parish’s commitment to care for the homeless. You have fulfilled our volunteer needs to care for our neighbors who must depend on Safe Nights for their safety and security. Heartfelt thanks to Jen Scalise who is leading this effort and to each person making it possible. Please keep all those involved in your prayers from 24 – 27 January.

Senior Warden
Annual Parish Meeting and Vestry Nominations:

Hold the date! The Annual Parish Meeting will be on the morning of Sunday, February 7th. It will integrate worship and Parish Reports, elections and other business, as has become our custom. You can expect information about the Housing Principal Mission progress, our Strategic Objectives performance, the Rector Search Process for 2021, our financial affairs and our candidates for Vestry and Delegates, as well as much more.  Barbara Brown is chairing the Vestry Nominations Committee; please contact her with your recommendations for Vestry candidates, including yourself if so inclined.

Bishop Sutton reminds us on this Inauguration Day that character still matters. "More than the programs we may institute, the funds raised, the new ministries launched – and more than the mission failures, the regrettable decisions, the personally embarrassing moments, and the 'things left undone' in our ministry – the things that really matter in your church leadership are these: prayer, holiness, discipline, purpose and honor." Covid-19 Vaccine Pre-Registration
The pre-registration vaccine portal will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021

Why is pre-registration being conducted early?

The majority of Calvert County residents in the COVID-19 vaccine priority group 1A have been vaccinated by the Calvert County Health Department (including front line hospital staff and healthcare workers, nursing home residents and staff, law enforcement and firefighters, EMS, all licensed, registered and certified health care providers, correctional health care staff and officers and front-line judiciary staff).

The Calvert County Health Department is moving towards vaccinating residents in phases 1B, 1C, 2 and 3 and is opening pre-registration for citizens in all priority groups who wish to be vaccinated.

The public is encouraged to pre-register online beginning Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Those who are unable to pre-register online can call 410-535-0218 for assistance beginning Tuesday, Jan. 19.
