Arctic Cold Front
Broomfield crews are preparing for an Arctic cold front forecasted to bring very cold temperatures and prolonged snow to Broomfield. With the low temperatures, please prepare for slick streets. What you can do to prepare:
  • Limit driving if you can, or pack an emergency car kit if you can’t.
  • Prepare your home for winter conditions by keeping your heat on to a minimum of 55 degrees, and dripping faucets if temperatures drop below 10 degrees.
Marijuana Licenses in Broomfield
The next steps in issuing Broomfield’s first three retail marijuana licenses are coming up! What do you need to know?
  • A lottery for the merit-qualified applicants was held today. Watch the recorded lottery.
  • Businesses who receive licenses through the lottery will complete additional state and local requirements. 
At-Home COVID-19 Tests
Broomfield is part of the state’s at-home COVID-19 testing kit distribution program! Anyone can pick up FREE test kits at the Broomfield Library and Broomfield Health and Human Services Building starting Feb. 24. Limit four tests per person.
Proposed RTD Service Changes in Broomfield
Feedback deadline extended! If you have not yet provided your comment, please review RTD’s System Optimization Plan which will act as a route-by-route guide of RTD services through 2027. The current proposal includes significant service cuts in Broomfield and will impact thousands of Broomfield residents and workers that rely on public transportation. 
2CELLOS Tickets Social Media Giveaway
Win a pair of suite tickets to see 2CELLOS perform at 1STBANK Center on Wednesday, Apr. 12! To participate, visit Creative Broomfield on Facebook, find the 2CELLOS giveaway post and share in the comments what creativity means to you by Mar. 10. Three randomly selected comments will be chosen to receive a pair of tickets by Mar. 15. City and County of Broomfield employees are not eligible to participate. If the winner is under 18, signature by a legal guardian will be required.
