The Seattle Education Association is the voice for educators standing with our students united to address the needs of our community and to transform our district into an anti-racist school system where every student thrives.
Help Pass the Seattle School Levies
Here are four ways to support the Seattle Schools Levies to ensure they pass with a big margin on February 8. The Seattle Schools levies provide critical funding to support our school communities. Please share this information widely.

  1. Vote YES and YES for the Levies: For Seattle voters, mark your ballots “YES” and “YES” on Props 1 & 2. Return your ballots today, don’t delay. Ballots must be received by 8:00pm on Tuesday, February 8, to be counted.
  2. Text bank: Join SEA’s text bank to contact Seattle educators in support of the levies tomorrow, Thursday, February 3, at 5:00 pm. Sign up today by clicking HERE.
  3. Share our video: Check out this awesome video made by a 350 Seattle volunteer! The Dropbox link has files you can download and share on social media. This video is not for ads, so the only way people see it is if we share it. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/j9omvu7wdj0as7m/AAC9ONo4KbnHVUKVSRYUZHtJa?dl=0
  4. Sign waving: Labor and environment groups will be waving signs on Monday, February 7, from 2:30-4:30 pm in SE Seattle. Meet at the Starbucks (South Graham St and MLK) to get signs and then we’ll go to various nearby schools and wave signs, encouraging people to vote yes on the levies
Join SEA Blueprinting Meetings for Upcoming 2022 Bargain

SEA is heading into an open bargain this spring. It is critical we hear from as many members as possible to determine our collective priorities for the bargain. Please register HERE to join one of the sessions to discuss what we can do as a union to transform our schools so our students and staff thrive. Additional sessions will be scheduled - watch for updates.
Join WEA’s Digital Lobbying Team and Send Legislators a Short Video Message

WEA’s Digital Lobbying Team is made up of educators from across the state sharing their stories with legislators through recorded videos. It is one more way our members can communicate directly with legislators with the limited free time we have. If you are interested in learning more about the Digital Lobbying Team or how to join, check out their new video and webpage. Our goal is to make legislators see that educators and their students are more than numbers on spreadsheets.
