WOMEN' CLUB MEETING!
The Hackberry Creek Women's Club is back and better than ever! Join us for our first meeting of the 2022-2023 Season!

We will sign up for Special Interest Groups (SIGS) and celebrate reuniting for another social season. To add to the fun, we encourage you to wear your FAVORITE SHOES. (Totally optional.)

Meeting Date: Tuesday, August 16th at 7pm - Hackberry Creek Country Club

Annual dues are $40. You may pay ahead via Venmo: @WomensClub-Hackberry Creek. (Please use an emoji as your description, and the code is 4825, if asked). Or you may pay by cash or check upon arrival.

Come early and enjoy a cocktail and a bite at Hackberry Creek Country Club. They graciously have offered to accept credit cards that night from our members who are not members of the Club.

NEW FENCING AT SOUTHERN OAK PARK
Installation is currently underway of the addition of fencing along the sidewalk at Southern Oak Park. We anticipate installation will be complete no later than Monday. Please use caution while workers are present!
SCHOOL STARTING SOON!
Vacation is almost over with school starting in a week! Please be aware of the safety measures undertaken on Southern Oak, including:

  • No parking, no stopping, no standing on the north side of Southern Oak from the alley adjacent to the park through to Summitview. We need to keep the lane open for moving vehicles and for fire & police in the event of an emergency. This is enforced and has a fine for violations.
  • Crosswalks have been added at the 2 sidewalks at the park to cross Southern Oak. Be aware of pedestrians.
  • Watch your speed. There’s increased radar monitoring in this area.
  • Kids playing in the park. Watch for kids running into the street. A fence is being added in the front of the Southern Oak Park.

The upcoming October/November issue of Hackberry Creek Living Magazine will feature our annual Best Summer Vacation Ever photos! Please submit your photos to Nancy Miller at: studio.design1@hotmail.com, along with a short description including who is in the photo and where it was taken and by September 10th.
BOARD NOMINATION PERIOD NOW OPEN!
The Board of Director nomination period is now open! An online form is available to submit your nomination. If you'd like to self-nominate, please use the online form (log-in first) or contact the office in-person or by mail. We will need a simple, written consent form from you stating your desire to run for the board with a brief biography with a maximum of 500 words. The nomination period runs through Association close of business, on September 4th (5:00pm).
AUGUST BOARD MEETING REMINDER
August's Hackberry Creek Board of Directors Meeting will be held August 17th at 7pm at the Hackberry Creek Country Club.

More information concerning agenda items will be available at least 6 days before the meeting and posted to community website.
NOW - SUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONS FOR
BOARD MEETINGS IN ADVANCE!
We have added another feature to the community website! Now, if you have a question for the resident input section during the Board Meeting you can submit it in advance for Board review. The form is available 24/7 on the community website. Any submissions turned in before noon the Friday before the Board meeting will be placed in the Board Packet for review. Questions may be edited for clarity and / or combined in the case of duplicate or similar questions. Simply log-in as a homeowner, select CONTACT from the menu and from the sub-menu select QUESTION FOR NEXT BOARD MEETING.
BOARD STATEMENT RELEASED
In case you missed the special notice last Thursday, the Hackberry Creek Board of Directors have unanimously agreed to release a statement concerning the relationship between the Association and the Hackberry Creek Country Club.
 
We encourage all residents to read through the information provided and visit the Forum before the next Board Meeting on August 17th. You must be a registered member of the website to access the statement and forum.
NEIGHBORHOOD GARAGE SALE HELP NEEDED!
Becca Piriano has volunteered to lead the effort to have a neighborhood garage sale later this year! Our last neighborhood garage sale was in 2020. Becca will provide more information as it becomes available but the location (it will not be inside Hackberry Creek) is likely to be the IBC parking lot and timing would be in the latter part of September. If you can volunteer to help please click button below to email her!
2022 ANNUAL MEETING - SAVE THE DATE!
The Hackberry Creek 2022 Annual Meeting will be held Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 at 7:30pm. At this annual meeting there will be an election for 3 open seats on the Board. Beginning August 1st, the Association will begin taking nominations for directors to be added to the ballot and annual meeting packet to be mailed in September. Watch for more details coming soon!

The Village Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association, including supervision of all contracted services (landscaping, maintenance, etc.) for the Association property and works hand-in-hand with the Board of Directors to deliver the high quality of service that Hackberry Creek residents deserve

Under the direction of the Village Manager, the Administrative Coordinator works with homeowners to provide new homeowner orientations, vehicle registrations, membership support and clerical duties. The Administrative Coordinator also processes new vendor applications, invoices, and provides the onsite team and Board of Directors with support with all facets of Hackberry Creek operations.

Compliance Coordinator

Under the direction of the Village Manager, the Community Standards Coordinator conducts inspections of residential properties within the community to determine if violations of deed restrictions exist with specific reference to property maintenance and aesthetics. The Community Standards Coordinator works with Hackberry Creek homeowners to ensure compliance when violations are found, while maintaining accurate records of complaints and inspections made.

Weiser Security Captain

The Security Captain at Hackberry Creek is tasked with the daily oversight of Gate Guard and Security operations and is responsible for scheduling and staffing all guard houses, ensuring security protocols are followed at all times. The Security Captain also monitors vehicular traffic and speeds throughout the community, issuing citations as needed and works hand-in-hand with the onsite team to ensure all residents, guest, contractors and other personnel have been appropriately screened before being granted access to the community.
