Ray-Pec parents,

As you recall, a part of last year’s Proposition S bond election was to acquire and renovate the 41,000+ square foot facility at 58 Highway and Foxridge Drive. This facility was the site of the former Orscheln Farm & Home store, and before that, the Sun Fresh Market, and has been vacant for several years. Securing this site was a very exciting and visionary move by the Ray-Pec Board of Education.

We named that facility the Ray-Pec LEAD Center. LEAD stands for Learning, Experiences, And Discovery. The Ray-Pec LEAD Center will be an exciting place for students to explore career paths, gain employable experiences, participate in exciting new styles of learning, or explore their interests in a variety of technology opportunities. At full build-out, we envision the LEAD Center to be a place where elementary and middle school students will also have opportunities to learn and explore through summer enrichment programs. Not only will the LEAD Center be a place for Learning, Experiences, And Discovery, it will be a place that will LEAD Ray-Pec toward more opportunities for its students and will LEAD the way in which programs like career education and Real-World Learning can make a difference for students.

Today, we are unveiling the concept drawings through a fly-through video. This video gives you an idea of what our planning team has put together for this space, and how this space is intended to meet the vision for the LEAD Center.

We are excited about this space for our students, and trust you will be as well!

Thank you for your support that makes opportunities like the LEAD Center possible for our students. This is an outstanding community. You can see more updates on the Prop S projects at this website.

Thank you for entrusting your children to the Ray-Pec School District.
