MIDLAND VALLEY COMMUNITY'S FIELD OF DREAMS

There is an official Major League baseball game tomorrow night in a cornfield in Iowa between the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs. It will be televised by FOX TV in America, as well as around the world. It's based on the popular Kevin Costner movie from several years ago "Field of Dreams." If you want to watch this game, go ahead and set your DVR, because we've got something better for you! ðŸ˜ŽðŸ˜ŽðŸ˜Ž

I want to give you a very special invitation to Midland Valley Community's own FIELD OF DREAMS softball game. It will be held in North Augusta, at the Riverview Park softball complex (100 Riverview Park Dr, North Augusta, SC 29841), tomorrow night (Thursday, August 11) at 8 PM. What makes this game soooooooo special is that it's MVCN playing against....MVCN! As most of you know, Midland Valley Community has a Championship caliber softball team that has a winning reputation, not only in the CSRA, but literally around the country. This summer, we decided to have two softball teams competing in the North Augusta rec league. Team 1 (MVCN #1) is led by our Sports Ministry Director, Nolan Meyer. This team has won almost every game they have played this year! Team 2 (MVCN #2) is led by Director Nolan's Sports Ministry intern, Walker Seymour. This team has lost almost every game they have played this year! Tomorrow night...WE PLAY EACH OTHER!

We would love to have several of our MVC congregation come out for a great evening of fun & fellowship. I will be playing for Team MVCN #2 (they are hoping I'll give a spiritual advantage) ðŸ˜Ž A challenge is being thrown down as well: if...somehow, someway, MVCN #2 Team would actually beat the Championship, Loaded, Stacked, Almost Professional MVCN #1 Team, Walker Seymour will do the offering at church Sunday morning and gets to throw a pie in Director Nolan's face!!! If MVCN #1 wins...Director Nolan will do the offering at church Sunday, and Walker Seymour will come up and give Nolan a high five!

PLEASE come out and support MVCN on Thursday night. It's our own FIELD of DREAMS! I promise you...Midland Valley Community Nazarene will win!

Love & Prayers,

Pastor David A. Gallimore

Message from HOPE Counseling Center

Thank you to those who participated in the Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center’s Baby Bottle fundraising campaign. We returned 33 bottles out of the 50 they dropped off and donated $421.82 toward their mission of helping expectant mothers and fathers of Aiken County. There has typically been up to 400 abortions a year in Aiken County. This money will help the parents who may have previously considering ending the life of their child.

From The Desk Of Pastor Mike McAdory

Church family,

Many of you know that I have been working on a Master of Arts in Worship & Leadership through Trevecca Nazarene University. My current class on worship requires a congregational survey to determine your thoughts and feelings about our worship services, whether you watch online or in-person.

The brief survey should take less than 10 minutes and is completely anonymous, so you have the freedom to be honest in your responses. I deeply appreciate your help as I complete this degree and as we continue to worship together at Midland Valley Community.

The deadline to complete the survey is Monday, August 15, 2022.
You can complete the survey only one time.

In His service,
