This year's Trunk or Treat, a longtime NDBC tradition, will take place on Sunday, October 24, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Join us for games, crafts, food, and fun. Our focus is on children and their families, but this is an event that all can enjoy, so make plans to attend. Contact Sabrina Thomas or Virginia Gilbert for more information. Rain date for the event is Saturday, October 30, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Urban Recipe
Northside Drive members and mother-son team Sabrina and Bo Thomas (pictured at left) volunteered recently at Atlanta food co-op Urban Recipe. They sorted and organized food, then distributed items into 257 boxes, which will feed more than 200 metro Atlanta families. Thanks, Sabrina and Bo, for the difference you’ve made through the gift of your time.

If you’re reading this and think, "Hey, I could give a few hours to help hunger efforts," you can sign up through the Urban Recipe website.

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity
Atlanta Habitat has resumed its volunteer builds and rehab programs. NDBC has joined with five other Atlanta churches on a rehab build that began October 16, and we have two volunteer slots each week of the build. Volunteers must be at least 16, submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination, and register online at least one week prior to the build day they select. To sign up to work one or more Saturdays, visit the NDBC sign-up page on the Atlanta Habitat website.

Buckhead Christian Ministries
THRIFTique, BCM's resale boutique, is in need of volunteers to serve throughout the week. The shop is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., and various shifts to suit volunteers' needs are available. Be assured that THRIFTique follows CDC guidelines to protect its staff, volunteers, and shoppers. If you are able to help with this important ministry, please sign up through the BCM volunteer hub.

If you are planning an event to be held at the church, we ask that you fill out an event request form as far in advance as possible, so that we can ensure you have the space and resources you need.

To obtain a form, contact Will Mathews at will@northsidedrive.org, Rose Hidlay at rose@northsidedrive.org, or call the office at 404-237-8621, and we will be happy to email you the form to complete and return to the church. Thank you for your help.
This Sunday at 9 a.m. Art & Soul will continue its study of the Amy-Jill Levine book Short Stories by Jesus. The class will discuss Chapter 5, which expounds on "the Parable of the Mustard Seed," as found in Mark 4:30-32. Hartwell Dew will facilitate the discussion, and you are invited to join by Zoom.
