SCARBOROUGH FISH & GAME SPORTING CLAYS
Frozen Five #4 & 4.5
Saturday, February 6, 2021 and
Sunday, February 7, 2021
Shooters...
It was a close call with the weather but we managed to get Frozen Five #4 in the books. Saturday was great for February but Sunday it was snowing when the last shots were fired. All in all, another great weekend at Scarborough Fish & Game.

We got to show everyone our new Whiffle trap. The crew at Scarborough Fish & Game has spent weeks designing and rebuilding a Promatic Sporter TT standard trap into a one of a kind trap that throws an up side down target. We got a lot of positive comments on it, even from some that missed it.  We are looking forward to see how creative we can get with it in the future.

NEWS
Possible good news...we decided to leave the course set up and if the weather cooperates, we will open it Wednesday and/or Sunday - weather permitting.

RESULTS
Both Frozen Five #4 and #4.5 were really fun. Lots of high scores, lots of choices on how to take pairs, and lots of variety. The Main event was won by Dave Trudeau with a 98. Dave finished in the snow...congratulations Dave. Runner up and close behind was a very happy, AA class shooter, Shawn Crapo with a 97. Great shooting Shawn. In the 4.5 event we had a tie between Michael Keene and Earle Glidden both with 96. Michael won by tie breaker...congratulations to both.

THANKS
We want to thank Lisa for registration and scoring. Special thanks to Steve and Pam Rich who helped set all the targets and helped fill them too. Thanks to Jim Clemons for all his extra work in getting the course plowed and ready for this event. Thanks to Jim, Tom and Bill for stocking extra birds for the events. This week was a complete drill with a big snowstorm on Monday followed by another storm on Friday. Jim continues to go above and beyond organizing help and working huge hours to get the course ready...as well as running Wednesday public shooting. Thank you Jim - I know the shooters and committee appreciate all the extra effort!

Our next shoot is Frozen Five #5 & 5.5 on Saturday & Sunday, March 6 & 7. Registration will open on next TUESDAY, February 16 - when we send out the pre-reg email. Also, we've posted the current series standings out on our website. Please be sure to email in and let us know if you find any errors.

That's it for now. See you at the range!
