Dear Parents and Guardians,

We did it! It has certainly been a unique semester, but we are grateful to return to as normal operations as possible, and appreciate your continued partnership. We wish all of our students and families a wonderful and safe Christmas break!

Sincerely,

Semester Grades

Semester grades will be finalized on January 7 at 3:00 pm. We understand that this year presented many extenuating circumstances that may have made school and school work difficult for some students. Thus we are offering a grade appeal process for any student who receives a "D" or an "I" in a course and can show that they were unable to pass because of extenuating circumstances.

This does not mean that all students who receive a "D" or an "I" will automatically be given extra time to improve their grade. This appeal process is for students who are able to show that they were unable to show a level of mastery because of circumstances that were beyond their control. The process will begin after January 7th with the divisional counselors reaching out to students who ended the semester with a "D" or an "I" and giving them the grade appeal form and meeting with them in person to explain the process. Each appeal will be reviewed by the teacher of the class and the academic dean. For those students who are approved, they will have an additional 30 days after their appeal is approved to complete the necessary work to show they have reached an adequate level of mastery to pass the course.

2021-2022 1st Semester Marianist Life Club in Review

The senior leaders of the Marianist LIFE Team are inspired by Blessed Chaminade in creating small faith communities through monthly retreat-like experiences for the student body called MLCs (Marianist Lay Communities). Using Mary as a model of Faith, the LIFE Team bases each MLC off of scripture relating to the current season and community celebration. Below you can see a quick but fun montage of the well attended MLCs so far. More to come in 2022!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the ARHS Marianist LIFE Team!
