Dear EAMS Students and Families,
Our Monday ABS lesson focused on Goal-Setting in an academic setting. This was the third of four consecutive lessons on the topic. Students began refining their goal setting, and the video of the lesson is attached here. This week’s Olweus lesson was about “being the change you want to see in the world.” The presentation and lesson are linked here.
As we see a rise in numbers, I wanted to reshare the following isolation procedures and chart of symptoms:
STAY HOME if you have ONE (1) of the following symptoms:
- Cough
- Fever greater than 100.4
- New loss of taste or smell
- Shortness of Breath
- Trouble/Difficulty Breathing*
- Nausea/Vomiting
- Diarrhea
*Trouble/difficulty breathing is a medical emergency*
STAY HOME if you have TWO (2) of the following symptoms:
- Headache
- Body/Muscle Aches
- Sore Throat
- Congestion/Runny Nose
- Fatigue
When can my student return to school?
-
Positive COVID-19 Test: Your child may return after 10 days of symptom onset or specimen collection, whichever comes first. Your child will need to also be 24 hours fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication (e.g., Tylenol/Ibuprofen) AND Symptoms have improved
-
Negative COVID-19 Test: (without a known COVID Exposure): Your child may return to school as long as they are 24 hours fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication and Symptoms have improved. Note: individuals who have a known COVID exposure will have a minimum 14-day quarantine from their last contact with a COVID positive individual.
-
No COVID-19 Test: Your child may return after 3 days AND 24 hours fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication (e.g., Tylenol/Ibuprofen) AND Symptoms have improved
- Doctor’s note indicating alternative diagnosis: Your child may return to school 24 hours fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication and Symptoms have improved
As items come up that you have questions or concerns about, please do not hesitate to contact me, and have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
