May 10, 2023 – The City of Whitewater’s Community Development Authority (CDA) provides grants and loans to qualifying businesses to help them grow. 

May 9, 2023 – During its May meeting, the City of Whitewater’s Plan & Architectural Review Commission (PARC) approved the site plan, accepted the design, and approved the Conditional Use Permit for Starbuck’s drive-through. 

May 4, 2023 – Effective May 4, 2023, the City of Whitewater now allows the use of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility task vehicles (UTVs) on all City streets in Jefferson and Walworth County.

April 11, 2023 – ALDI has submitted plans to the City of Whitewater for a 20,000 square foot grocery store on the west side.

April 25, 2023 – Blowing or Leaving Grass Clippings in the Street is Prohibited. This public service announcement serves as a reminder that blowing or depositing grass clippings into any City street is prohibited. Reasons this is not permitted include: 1) Grass clippings, leaves, and other lawn debris can clog storm drains, resulting in street and private property flooding. 2) Storm drains flow directly to local lakes untreated. Grass clippings add unnecessary nutrients, which help feed harmful algae blooms. 3) Clippings can make the street slippery and hazardous for bicyclists and motorcyclists.

The City of Whitewater is excited to host the 2023 Special Olympics Summer Games June 8-10, 2023. All events will take place on the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater campus. More than 1,400 athletes from across the state will compete in track & field, cornhole, powerlifting, tennis, and soccer. 

The Parks & Recreation Department provides various recreational programming for adults and children. This summer's lineup includes tennis, tee ball, rookie ball, baseball, pickleball, softball, tae kwon do, the innovators kids camp, and more!

Madison Mallards are hosting a “Little League Game of the Week
