Our Lady of the Presentation
Early Childhood Center
Good evening. I was glad to see the temperature is going to be going down this week! We will be able to spend a little more time outside and enjoy our time at the splash pad. This week preschool and pre-k classes will be going to Miller J. Splash Pad on Tuesday and Wednesday and on Thursday the Zoo Mobile will be returning. Also this week work on the floors in the bathrooms and hallways will begin. Patch work on different areas in the hallways will begin on Wednesday and bathroom floor demo will begin on Thursday. Once we are able to do our final walkthrough on Tuesday an email will go out about which areas will be affected first and a tentative schedule for when each classroom will be done. We need all paperwork turned in by Friday, 7/29. If you have any questions or need hard copies of any of the paperwork stop by the office. A separate email with information about school supplies and Meet Your Teacher went out last week you can find that information below as well. We hope to have rosters complete this week to go out in the next update. I will be out of the office Wednesday through Friday so if you need anything urgent please call or email ecc.office@olpls.org Have a great evening and we will see you tomorrow!

Miller J. Splash Pad Trips
Tuesday and Wednesday this week we will be heading to Miller J. Fields Park to play on the splash pad and have lunch at the park. Below is the schedule for when each class will attend. Students should wear a swimsuit, OLP yellow shirt, swim shoes and bring a towel to sit on and a sack lunch with a drink. Lunches should not require refrigeration. The bus will leave the center at 10:00 AM please arrive no later than 9:30 AM. If you plan to attend with your child or they will not be riding the bus let their teacher or the office know as soon as possible. If you have any questions contact your child's teacher or the office by tomorrow.

Kansas City Zoo Mobile is Back!
Thursday the Zoo Mobile will be back at the ECC for another visit. The first session will begin at 9:30 (Ms. Josie, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Kelsey, Ms. Emely, Ms. Ann, Ms. Brooke, Ms. Kristin, Ms. Cheyanne) The second session will begin at 10:15 (Ms. Abby, Ms. Jade, Ms. Char/Maranda, Ms. Kay, Ms. Nina)

This year instead of sending out paper enrollment packets we are including a link to a secure page on our website where you will be able to download all of the required paperwork for the school year. Most of the forms are fillable PDFs and you can find the link below. The password to gain access is (case sensitive) !OLPECC-Forms22-23!

Meet Your Teacher is 8/15
Meet Your Teacher is right around the corner! We are looking forward to welcoming everyone for our 2022-2023 school year. Below you will find a link to information about this event. Please let us know if you have any questions or if you will not be able to make it so we can let your child's teacher know.
2022-2023 Tuition Rates
Below is a link to the new tuition rates for the upcoming school year. As everyone is aware expenses have greatly increased. In order to meet the higher cost of food and other expenses and provide a modest salary increase for our staff we will be increasing the cost of attendance. This increase will be effective August 1.
July Staff Birthdays
Please help us celebrate the following staff birthdays this month. Ms. Teresa's birthday is 7/4. Teresa is our Assistant Director and she has been working here at Presentation since April 2016. Teresa is one of the nicest ladies you will ever meet, she loves all the children and is dedicated to making our preschool the best! Ms. Sintya will celebrate her birthday on 7/10. She works in one of our toddler rooms and started at the ECC last June. She is wonderful with the little ones and we are so glad she decided to join our team! Ms. Megan's birthday is 7/11 and she is one of our full-time teacher aides. Megan will be here for five years in August. She is a really hard worker and can help out in any classroom. We are lucky to have her. Ms. Jade will celebrate her birthday on 7/30 and she has been a teacher aide with us for going on two years. Jade just recently transitioned into a classroom teacher role and has been doing an awesome job! Make sure you swing by and wish them a happy birthday!

Final School Calendar 2022-2023
Below you will find a link to the calendar for the 2022-2023 school year. We have finalized our dates for days closed and some of our bigger events. Review all days closed as we have adjusted some dates. The first day of school for 2022-2023 will be Wednesday, 8/17 and the last day of summer session 2022 will be Tuesday, 8/9. Those families who have students in Pre-K be aware that LSR7 does not start until Tuesday, 8/23. The last day Pre-K students going to Kindergarten may attend the ECC is 8/9.
Summer Tuition Account Questions
If you have specific questions about your summer tuition, or fees billed to your account or need to make a payment you may contact Teresa Button our Assistant Director. All tuition accounts must be paid in full before your student may attend in the fall. If you need to set up a payment plan please reach out to us as soon as possible. You may also email Teresa at tbutton@olpls.org or call the office at (816)251-1140.
Office Communication
We want to make it easier for you to stay in communication with us. If you need to send general information to the office we have created an email address that will send your email message to all of our office staff. You can still send sensitive information to an individual by sending your email to their personal email address but if you want to send general information to be answered by any of our office staff then please use the email address indicated below.
