Adoptable Pet Spotlight
Meet Danby!

This happy boy is a two year old, 50 pound Pittie mix who just wants to cuddle! He'll try to climb into your lap to cover your face with kisses. He also loves to lean hard against you when you stop petting him to remind you that he would still like some more pets! This goofball gets so excited to chase after toys when you throw them, but he doesn't quite understand that he needs to bring them back for you to throw them again! Danby could use a little help learning his manners, like not jumping up when he gets excited or pulling quite so hard on the leash.
If you have other dogs, please bring them for a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along since Danby is a dominant boy. We aren't sure what he thinks about cats though. He seemed pretty interested in the kitten he met at the shelter, so he might end up being too interested with cats running around in the home.
If you are interested in meeting this pet, please contact Chesterfield County Animal Services at 804-748-1683, option "0," to schedule an appointment. Office staff are available by phone 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The shelter is located at 9300 Public Works Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
