Don't "fowl" victim to inactivity around the holidays. The Lenexa Rec Center's inaugural Gobbler Gallop 5K virtual run will make you feel better about the feast ahead. Run or walk from any location during the week of Thanksgiving (Nov. 23–27, 2020).

Upcoming Event: Friday, November 20th - Mayor's Holiday Tree Lighting

In an effort to ensure that one of the region’s most beloved traditions continues, Country Club Plaza will host the 91st Annual Evergy Plaza Lighting Ceremony as a broadcast-only event to ensure the safety of the community. 
KMBC is the partner for the hour-long production that will start at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving (November 26th). 
While Plaza restaurants may be open on this day, shops will be closed. Socially distanced spectators are welcome to view the lights turning on, but large groups will not be permitted to gather on-site.  
In addition to the time-honored “flipping of the switch,” the show will feature musical performances, historical highlights, celebrity guest messages and fireworks. The Evergy Plaza Lights will be on display through Jan. 10, 2021.
