From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal

Dear Parents,

Our school year is off to a great start. MAP testing will soon be complete and new programs will begin once that data has been collected.

This will be a short week due to a teacher In-service on Friday, September 24th.

Finally, I have been asked to give an update on the COVID outbreak we have had in our school. Please feel free to call at any time if you have questions or concerns regarding case numbers, testing requirements, quarantine, etc. Rumors abound, the only accurate information comes from the school office.

Cases at St. Anthony on the Lake School: 13
Active cases at St. Anthony on the Lake School: 9
Second grade statistics:
·        10 positive cases
·        8 negative cases
·        5 families choosing not to test
·        2 not affected due to masks

Thank you, parents, for your diligence in having your kid(s) tested or keeping such kid(s) home. Most of the second graders that tested positive were asymptomatic. Had they not tested or been in school, we quite possible would have had another class involved in this outbreak. The symptoms that seem to be presenting are head cold/ sinus issues, and a low grade fever. Please use extra precautions if symptoms occur.

Blessings,
Mrs. Ellen Knippel

The Williams Family
Last Wednesday, Lori Williams, a parishioner, shared how her family was impacted by childhood cancer during our annual Gold in September Mass. Their two year old son, Thomas was diagnosed in April and received 5 treatments each involving a month long inpatient stay at Children's Hospital. Thomas is looking forward to coming home the beginning of October and God willing, will be done receiving treatments. If you missed the Mass but would like to view it, here is the link:  School Mass (vimeo.com) Our dress down donations from September 10 will be donated to the Williams family. Please consider signing up to provide a meal for their family as their family of 4 will finally be all together again the beginning of October. Meals For . . .
