Serra's 17th Annual Fund A Dream
Each year since 2005, the Fund a Dream Scholarship Benefit has raised more than $5 million in tuition assistance for numerous qualified young men who dream of becoming a Serra Padre.

Fund A Dream is a dynamic event that unites Serra’s alumni, current and past parents, and friends of Serra to celebrate the school’s proud history and exciting future. We hope you'll help us keep the dream alive on Saturday, February 27, 2021, as our community comes together to virtually honor this longstanding tradition.

Serra Rings Blessed in Live-streamed Event Today

Today, Upper Division Gold Cohort members enjoyed a special on-campus blessing of their class rings by Serra Chaplain, Father Michael Liliedahl.

The rings are a symbol of the high ideals and values bestowed upon each Serra graduate. A class ring is worn for years to come, commemorating each student's time and education at Serra, while uniting each student with a pool of other proud alumni.

While much of the school year looks different this year, the tradition at Serra to bless these rings remains the same. To watch a livestream of the event, visit our website.
Serra Parent Information Night for Scheduling on January 28

On Thursday, January 28 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., we have scheduled an evening for parents to find out more about how their sons will be scheduled for classes for the 2021-2022 school year.

The evening will be separated into three separate meetings for parents: One for current freshman parents, one for current sophomore parents, and one for current junior parents. Parents will be responsible for completing their son’s course requests online through the PCR Parent Portal and sending that form to their son’s counselor before March 3.

The links to these meetings will be sent early next week (January 25-28). Although this is optional, please reserve time on your calendars for these meetings to obtain timely important information.
Spanish Benchmark Assessments Scheduled for January 26, 27
If a student received A or an A- in the fall semester of Spanish and would like the opportunity to qualify for Honors Spanish II or the appropriate level, the student must take the benchmark assessment on Tuesday, January 26 at 10 a.m. or Wednesday, January 27 at 2 p.m. This test will be virtual and students must sign on to Madame Dowden's Zoom room. A link will be sent 24 hours before the date. Students should sign up here for the assessment. The Benchmark Assessment will take approximately 30-45 minutes and will have no influence on the student's current class grade.

Along with your Spanish teacher's recommendation and continued success in your second semester of Spanish, we will use this benchmark assessment to determine both the interest and academic qualifications of each potential honors-bound student. We are trying to program each student at the level that meets their academic needs. Please contact Madame Dowden with any questions or concerns .
Serra Mother-Son Mass for Sophomores on February 6

Normally we would gather together for a Mass celebrating the special relationship between mothers and sons, but we aren’t able to to that right now due to health protocols during a pandemic. Instead, we invite the mothers of sophomores to join us for a Mother/Son Prayer Morning. on February 6. Join us for a Saturday morning to spend with your son, in prayer, in remembering good and funny times together, and the chance to share these stories with your son.

Join us for this virtual prayer time that will give you one-on-one time with your son with guiding questions and prompts for getting your son to share some of his love for you.

This Mother/Son Prayer Time will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Any questions please email our chaplain, Fr. Michael Liliedahl.
