JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE
OF SAN DIEGO

Jewish Family Service of San Diego joined CIE in April of 2018.
 
Since then they have handled more than 2,000 direct referrals connections from the CIE Partner Network to services including the On the Go Senior Rides program, Safe Parking, and COVID-19 Food Deliveries.
 
By participating in CIE, JFS has made a significant difference in the lives of our seniors, homeless, food insecure, and other underserved clients, especially during COVID-19.
 
JFS’s work in the community does not go unnoticed! As a leading force identifying, addressing, and advocating for effective solutions to San Diego’s most complex and pressing challenges in our communities, JFS has made lasting, impactful changes in our region.

211 San Diego in Partnership with
County of San Diego Housing and Urban Development

211 San Diego has partnered with the County of San Diego's Housing Community Development Services to submit rental and utility payment assistance applications over the phone.
 
TheCounty of San Diego COVID-19 Emergency Rental and Utilities Assistance Program helps with past-due or unpaid rent and utilities for low-income individuals and families in the County of San Diego who experienced financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
211 San Diego in Partnership with
San Diego Housing Commission

211 San Diego has partnered with the San Diego Housing Commission to submit rental and utility payment assistance applications over the phone.

211 San Diego also helps clients submit all required documentation (only complete applications will be considered, and all applications must have all documents in the portal to be considered complete). The City of San Diego COVID-19 Housing Stability Assistance Program helps to pay past-due, unpaid rent and utilities for individuals and families with low income in the City of San Diego who experience financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Interfaith Community Services
Temporary rental assistance for households whose income was negatively affected by COVID-19. Households must demonstrate an inability to meet rent obligations by documenting a loss of income.

Temporary rental assistance available to assist households whose employment income has been negatively impacted by COVID-19. Households must demonstrate an inability to meet rent obligations by documenting a loss of income and lack of assets available due to COVID.
Jewish Family Service
Addresses the social, health, educational, and economic challenges of adolescent pregnancy by providing comprehensive case management services to expectant and parenting youth.

Supports expectant and parenting youth in building their strengths and skills and linking them with services and resources. Promotes healthy pregnancies, positive birth outcomes, improved health, and increased knowledge and skills related to positive parenting.

The goal is to increase access and utilization of needed services, increase social and emotional support, increase educational attainment, and improve pregnancy planning and spacing.


Free parenting education throughout San Diego County in Head Start preschools, elementary schools, military families and other community sites to help parents and professionals learn how to use simple, practical, and powerful strategies to strengthen families. The session can be in groups or individually tailored.

CIE MONTHLY TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
The CIE Team is offering monthly training on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 10:00 am to 11:00 am via Zoom! The next training is on June 9, 2021. Learn how to navigate the CIE platform, search for clients, send direct referrals to other partners, add program enrollments and care teams, and more.

CIE PARTNER MEETINGS
The CIE Partner Network works to improve the overall service delivery system for clients. Our meeting provides a forum for partners to discuss the CIE platform, provide feedback about the CIE platform, and participate in ongoing discussions and improvements to the social determinants of health, risk rating scales, system functionality, as well as network with other CIE partners to coordinate better care for clients. We meet on the 4th Thursday of every month (except November and December) at 9:00 am via Zoom.
