Camp Bishopswood is on our radar!

A Special Coffee Hour this Sunday, July 24

Following the 10 AM Service this Sunday, members of the Outreach Committee will provide a Very Fine Coffee Hour/Fund Raiser to help several of our St. Francis children have a wonderful summer camp experience. Financial assistance is needed and with your help, we can get this done! If you are unable to attend this week’s service and want to contribute a bit, please send a check to St. Francis Church, earmarked Bishopswood Campers. Many thanks for this and all of your gifts to Outreach!

From our Senior Warden-

Happy Summer Again!

Good mid-summer morning to you,

It feels so great to know that Fr. Brent has indeed turned a corner: his sense of humor has even returned!

Here are some Vestry Updates:

Members of the vestry are busy with an “Every Person Canvas”. Each parishioner will receive a phone call to determine how they are doing, if they need anything and to update information in the Friends List. This is also an opportunity to share concerns or suggestions regarding St. Francis Church.

Three of our children are attending Camp Bishopswood this summer and have requested scholarships, but funds have dried up. The Outreach Committee was able to assist one family and A special coffee hour is scheduled for this Sunday to benefit camp scholarships.

Significant damage has occurred as a result of opening and closing windows in the church. They are difficult to open and close, to be sure. Please be certain that the locks are fully open before attempting to slide the window up, then slide slowly using the handles. Thank you!

Our Tech team worked for 4 hours on Tuesday installing and training on the new audio/visual equipment. It is not yet perfect but we should notice improvements on Sunday. I certainly have come to a new and greater appreciation of the efforts of Bob Publicover! The hours he has devoted to researching, purchasing, reworking, patching, trouble shooting and processing this system is proof of his devotion to St. Francis and to you & me. He has been using his personal computer for years to work the streaming and the Vestry decided that the time has come to purchase our own computer dedicated to the streaming system.

Huge thanks to Bob (and to his trusty partner, Heath Wall).

We have a new emergency alarm system thathas been installed.

Blessings to all,

Milissa LaLonde

Vaccinations are required for in-person services or events at St. Francis by the Sea

For the safety of the most vulnerable, only fully vaccinated* people may attend in-person worship.  Exceptions will be made for those unable to be vaccinated due to health conditions or eligibility (such as children under 2).

If you are not fully vaccinated, you would put our children and others who may be medically fragile at higher risk.

PLEASE do the loving thing and get vaccinated, if not for yourself, then for our children.  Otherwise, you are welcome to continue on Zoom for the time being.

Should have come to our Cafe Francois!

See you on August 3rd!
